General

What kind of ICT support do you offer?

End-to-end ICT managed services, covering remote and onsite support, proactive monitoring, network management, and ongoing system maintenance.

Can you help us move to the cloud?

Yes — we specialise in secure cloud migration and management, facilitating transitions to platforms like Microsoft 365.

How do you ensure our security?

We protect your business with firewalls, antivirus solutions, data encryption, and regular system monitoring, plus email security and spam/phishing and domain protection.

Do you offer customised ICT solutions?

Yes — we evaluate each client's distinct requirements and build tailored solutions addressing infrastructure, cybersecurity, or managed-services needs.

AI & Microsoft Copilot

Do we need Microsoft 365 before we can use Copilot?

Yes — Microsoft 365 Copilot requires an eligible Microsoft 365 plan (typically Business Premium, E3 or E5). If you're not there yet, our AI readiness assessment maps the licensing and platform steps to get you Copilot-eligible.

Is it safe to give Copilot access to our files?

Only once your foundation is secure. We clean up permissions, apply sensitivity labels and Microsoft Purview controls before any pilot, so Copilot only ever surfaces what a user is already allowed to see.

Can you build us a custom AI agent, not just Copilot?

Yes — we design and build custom agents in Copilot Studio that act on your own data and systems, for use cases like finance assistance, service-desk deflection, proposal drafting and cited knowledge search.

ICT Consulting & Strategy

What's included in an ICT assessment or audit?

A thorough evaluation of your current ICT identifying performance bottlenecks, security gaps and key opportunities — including ISO audits where required for compliance and credibility.

Do you recommend specific vendors?

We provide unbiased advice, recommending proven vendors and ICT solutions tailored to your business requirements rather than pushing any single brand.

Managed ICT Services

What size business is Managed ICT Services suited to?

Our Managed ICT Services are tailored to businesses with 10–100 users, with fixed monthly packages so costs stay predictable as you scale.

Do you support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?

Yes — we manage your transition to, and ongoing use of, both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace as part of our managed cloud services.

Cloud Solutions & Migration

Will migrating to the cloud disrupt our business?

We execute migrations outside of your core business hours, with planning, secure data transfer, configuration and testing aimed at zero downtime for your team.

Is our data compliant once it's in the cloud?

We build in security from day one and ensure your setup is compliant with POPIA, GDPR and ISO standards.

Cloud Backup & Disaster Recovery

How quickly can we recover after data loss?

Our disaster recovery plans are built around your specific Recovery Time Objectives (RTOs), with rapid recovery solutions designed to minimise downtime and financial loss.

Is our backed-up data encrypted?

Yes — your data is encrypted both during transfer and while in storage, in highly secure offsite data centres.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

How do you help with POPIA compliance?

We conduct audits and risk assessments, and assist in implementing the policies, procedures and reporting systems needed to meet POPIA and avoid penalties.

What happens if we have a security incident?

Our incident response team reacts swiftly to contain the threat, isolate compromised systems, recover data, and minimise operational disruption.

Network Management

Can you support multiple office sites?

Yes — we design and implement networks across multiple sites, including structured cabling and enterprise-grade managed wireless for consistent coverage.

Do you offer secure remote access for staff?

Yes — our VPN and remote access solutions give staff encrypted, reliable connections to business resources from anywhere.

Vox Fibre

Do you supply Vox Fibre, or only support it?

Both — we order and support Vox business fibre as part of your Simplict ICT. You deal with us for feasibility, install, upgrades and faults.

Can fibre be paired with VoIP and hosted servers?

Yes — that is the usual design. We size the circuit for voice quality, cloud apps and any hosted servers, and we apply QoS so calls stay clear.

VoIP

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?

Yes — we port geographic and 087 numbers onto the hosted platform as part of the cutover, with a planned overlap so you are never dark.

Does VoIP work if staff are out of the office?

Yes — the same extension works on a desk phone, headset or mobile app, provided the user has a stable internet connection.

Hosted Servers

Is a hosted server the same as Microsoft 365?

No — Microsoft 365 covers mail, files and collaboration. Hosted servers are for the applications and file shares that still need a Windows or Linux machine. Many clients run both.

Who patches and backs up the hosted server?

Simplict does. Patching, monitoring, backup and restore tests sit in the same managed-ICT contract as your users and network.

Hardware as a Service (HaaS)

How often is hardware refreshed under HaaS?

Devices are typically upgraded or replaced on a scheduled basis, every 3–4 years, as part of your fixed monthly fee.

What happens to old devices at end of life?

We manage secure data erasure and responsible disposal or recycling, keeping you compliant with data-privacy standards.

Client Onboarding & Offboarding

What does the onboarding process look like when we sign with Simplict?

We begin with a discovery session to understand your current environment, followed by a formal ICT audit and infrastructure assessment. From there we build a tailored service plan, migrate or onboard your systems, and assign you a dedicated support contact. Most onboardings are completed within 2–4 weeks depending on complexity. Start with the client onboarding form.

Do you do a handover or documentation of our environment?

Yes — we produce a full network and systems inventory document at onboarding, which we keep up to date throughout the engagement. You own this documentation.

What user accounts and licences do you need access to?

We request delegated admin access to your Microsoft 365 tenant and your networking equipment. We work under least-privilege principles and document all access granted.

How is hardware deployment handled during onboarding?

For HaaS clients, we configure, asset-tag and ship pre-built devices directly to your site. For managed ICT clients, we audit existing hardware and produce a replacement-cycle recommendation before deployment.

How do I onboard a new staff member?

Submit the onboarding form with the starter's details, start date and the access they need. We create accounts, licences, mailbox, devices and VoIP extension to that date — the same process we use on our live desk.

What happens when we need to offboard a staff member?

Submit the offboarding form with the leaver’s last day and what should happen to their mailbox, files and device. We revoke access, archive mail, wipe or retrieve hardware and transfer data to the people you name.

What if we decide to leave Simplict?

We handle offboarding professionally. We provide all documentation, transfer admin access back to you, and assist with handover to your new provider. We do not hold your data or systems hostage — our goal is to leave you better than we found you.

Copilot Readiness Check

What is the Copilot Readiness Check?

A free, interactive assessment that scores your business across five dimensions — licensing, data security, data quality, use cases and people/adoption — and gives you a tailored, actionable report on your readiness to adopt Microsoft Copilot.

Is my data safe when I take the assessment?

Yes — the questionnaire only asks about your current setup in general terms, and scoring happens entirely in your browser. We only collect contact details if you choose to unlock or email your full report.

How long does the assessment take?

Most businesses complete it in 5–10 minutes. You can save your progress and come back to finish later.
