Cookie Policy
Effective date: 1 January 2025
This Cookie Policy explains how Simplict (Pty) Ltd ("Simplict") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit this website.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work or work more efficiently. This website also uses browser localStorage — a similar mechanism for storing data in your browser that does not expire automatically.
2. Cookies and storage we use
2.1 Strictly necessary (functional)
These cannot be switched off because the site would not work without them. They do not identify you personally and are not used for marketing.
| Name / Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| localStorage (readiness) | Saves your progress in the Copilot Readiness Assessment so you can return and continue where you left off. Stored only in your browser; never sent to our servers unless you choose to email your report. | Until you clear browser storage |
2.2 Analytics
We do not currently use any analytics platform (Google Analytics, Plausible, Fathom, or otherwise). If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and a consent mechanism presented where required.
2.3 Advertising and tracking
We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or third-party tracking technologies of any kind.
2.4 Social media
This site links to LinkedIn but does not embed LinkedIn plugins or share buttons that would set social-media cookies in your browser.
3. Third-party cookies
No third-party cookies are set by this website. If you visit an external link from this site (such as a partner page or Microsoft documentation), those sites may set their own cookies — please check their respective policies.
4. Managing cookies and storage
You can control and delete cookies and localStorage data through your browser settings. Clearing localStorage will delete your saved readiness-assessment progress.
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.
- Firefox:Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Because we only use strictly necessary storage, disabling cookies in your browser will not materially affect your experience on this site (other than losing readiness-assessment progress).
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies or change the way we use existing ones. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the most recent update.
